Dr. C. S. Caldwell is a native El Pasoan and graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. He earned his DDS and completed his residency in Periodontal Surgery at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Pursuing his passion for implant dentistry, Dr. Caldwell trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Misch International Implant Institute, later joining the Misch faculty in 2001. Dr. Caldwell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has served as a Board Examiner and on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Implantology. He has held faculty positions at Temple University and currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine. An accomplished author and speaker, Dr. Caldwell has published extensively on implant surgery and bone grafting, contributing chapters to Contemporary Implant Dentistry, 4th Edition and Avoiding Complications in Implant Dentistry. He is a Fellow of both the American and International Colleges of Dentists and has been recognized as a Texas “Super Dentist” annually since 2005
