T04A: Airway: From Diagnosis to Treatment: Part1

Course Summary:

Dr. Naurine Shah will lead much of the discussion involving airway diagnosis, oral function, chewing patterns, swallowing, tongue posture, growth and development, and myofunctional considerations. We also plan to discuss CBCT evaluation, sleep studies, home sleep testing, wearable technologies, and practical screening tools.

• Recognize clinical signs and symptoms associated with airway dysfunction.

• Understand tongue function and craniofacial growth.

• Identify appropriate patients for sleep testing or referral.

• Incorporate airway screening into routine dental examinations.
